Caring of Jade

For the caring of jade, I borrowed the below description by Fred Ward again in his book “Jade”.

“Caring for both natural jades is simple. Because both Jadeite and nephrite are hard, durable, and resistant to most chemicals, they are likely to be the strongest part of your jewelry. You can wash them with soap and water or detergents, or you can use an altrasonic or stream cleaner. If you notice either jade becoming dull, you can have it re-waxed. ‘B’ and ‘C’ jadeites are not as durable and should not be subjected to chemicals, detergents or ultrasonics. Use soap and water with them.”
